Communication Sciences is an academic discipline that deals with the processes of human communication and behaviour, patterns or models of communication in interpersonal relationships, social interactions and communication in different cultures. It provides essential skills for encacting and giving your voice. Successful communication requires certain skills such as active listening and engagement, critical thinking, effective presentation skills, etc. This course aims at training students to be good and skillful communicators. More specifically, it helps students to understand and explain how effective oral communication plays out, identify the major models of oral communication, differentiate the general types of non-verbal communication and describe and analyse nonverbal communication associated with effective speaking.
